At the most recent meeting of the Friends of Havering Country Park, the vacant post of Chairman was filled by Gordon Walkley, who was duly elected to represent our Group. Those members holding other Committee posts remain in place.
Mawneys Team member Joe Webster attended and said "I am sure Gordon will make a wonderful Chairman of the group, so much has been achieved over the last two years or so by the group and I am sure he will take things further"
The next event for the group will be its usual public meeting at the North Romford Community Centre on the 19th March, starting at 7.30pm.
Following that is a work day on the 29th March, were the group will be clearing an area near to the bungalow called Charlie's Acre. We will be burning the old wood - baked spuds and bangers will be provided. Bring a flask.
